The purpose of this report is to update Cabinet on the Suffolk Economy annual review which focuses on progress against the Suffolk Economic Strategy. ESC is a partner in both the development and delivery of this strategy and via Cllr Caroline Topping is a member of the Suffolk Business Board which oversees delivery against the strategy. Cllr Topping’s role on the board is to represent all of Suffolk’s district councils.
The report also sets out progress against the Thriving Economy priorities within the Council’s Strategic Plan. This demonstrates the contribution ESC is making to local economic prosperity as well as the wider Suffolk Economic Strategy objectives.
