Reason for Decision
This Air Quality Strategy 2025-2030 provides an updated document to the current ESC 2021 Air Quality Strategy. Provision of an Air Quality Strategy is a requirement of Defra following revocation of our last declared AQMA (December 2024). The updated strategy provides a format to set out the Council’s objectives and initiatives to reduce air
pollution and monitor delivery.
Alternative Options Considered and Rejected
To adopt the East Suffolk Council Air Quality Strategy 2025-2030 and deliver the Action Plan, or to consider review of the Strategy and amendments.
