That Cabinet:
1. noted performance against the Service Plan for 2024/25;
2. considered and commented on the Service Plan for 2025/26;
3. recommended that Cabinet approves the Service Plan for 2025/26; and
4. authorised the Head of Environmental Services and Port Health, in consultation with the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Community Health, to make any presentational or typographical amendments to the Service Plan prior to it being published
Reason for Decision
The Council is required to produce and submit a Food and Health and Safety Service Plan for member approval.
Alternative Options Considered and Rejected
The only option would be not to review Food and Health and Safety Service Plan for 2025/26. East Suffolk Council would not be operating in line with the Food Standards Agency’s Framework Agreement and the Health and Safety Executive’s National Local Authority Enforcement Code. This option has been rejected.
