Decision Details

It was recommended that Cabinet:

1. Approve all six policies (Appendices A to F) and agrees that these are 
published on the Council’s website and shared with relevant stakeholders as part of the wider housing service improvement plan.

2. Approves the fees and charges listed in the Recharge Policy and ensure they are added to the ESC Fees and Charges book.

3. Gives delegated authority to the Head of Housing, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing to make amendments and update the policies as required in response to changes in legislation, operational feedback, or best practice.

 Option 1 – Approve the six policies (Recommended): Ensures compliance and addresses identified gaps.

Option 2 – Do not approve the policies: This would leave the Council exposed to compliance risks and operational inconsistencies.

Option 3 - Approve some but not all policies: This would only partially address the identified gaps and may delay full compliance.

That Cabinet:
