The Council could have continued ‘as is’, but this would have meant there would be no policy in place and would have prevented money being allocated in a fair and proportionate way to multiple CLHs and instead could have been allocated purely on a first come first served basis.

Decision Proposed:

1. That the Community Housing Spend Policy, as set out in Appendix A of report ES/1126, be adopted.

2. That delegated responsibility be given to the Head of Housing in consultation with the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Housing to award the Community Housing Fund (CHF) spend policy.
