Using the policy will clarify the Council’s intentions and expectations for Suppliers when delivering, or intending to deliver, Council contracts. 

It will ensure that Suppliers uphold these principles throughout both their operations and supply chain. 

It will support officers managing Council contracts in better contract management and governance activities. 

The policy directly supports ongoing delivery of the Procurement Strategy 2024-2028.
