The Sub-Committee received report ES/1716 of the Senior Licensing Officer, which requested the clarification of the film "Saxon Boy" to enable it to be screened at Aldeburgh Cinema in November 2023.  The film had not been shown to the public before within the East Suffolk district and it was therefore necessary for the Council, as licensing authority, to give it a suitable classification.

The report was presented by the Licensing Officer and the Sub-Committee was asked to determine the appropriate classification for the films in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) guidelines.  Members confirmed that they had viewed the film prior to the hearing.
