To elect a Chair for the Licensing Sub-Committee.

On the proposition of Councillor Hedgley, seconded by Councillor Wilson, it was

 

RESOLVED

 

The Councillor Thompson be elected Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee for the meeting.

Jodie Fisher (Licensing Officer) introduced report ES/1673 regarding the classification of 58 short films due to be shown at the East Point Pavilion, The Grit Arts Centre and The Junction, all in Lowestoft between 20 to 27 October 2023 as part of the Lowestoft Film Festival.

 

The films had not been shown to the public before within the East Suffolk district and it was therefore necessary for East Suffolk Council to given them a suitable classification.

 

The Sub-Committee was asked to determine the appropriate admission criteria for the films in accordance with British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) guidelines. Members confirmed that they had viewed the short-films prior to the meeting.
