1 Election of a Chairman

To elect a Chairman for the Meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee

On the proposition of Councillor Back, seconded by Councillor Coulam it was by unanimous vote

 

RESOLVED

 

That Councillor Colin Hedgley be elected as Chairman of this meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee.

RESOLVED

 

That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Changes to Membership of the Licensing Sub-Committee

The Democratic Services Officer opened the meeting and invited the Legal Advisor to address all present regarding changes to the membership of the Licensing Sub-Committee as published.

 

The Legal Advisor explained that Councillor Robinson was no longer a Member of the Sub-Committee as it had been highlighted that he had been in the decision-making process that had resulted in the need for the Sub-Committee's meeting, as he had been consulted by the Head of Legal and Democratic Services when she had made her decision.

 

Councillor Coulam, as the Sub-Committee's reserve Member, had replaced Councillor Robinson on the Sub-Committee.
