To elect a Chair for the Licensing Sub-Committee.

On the proposition of Councillor Fisher, seconded by Councillor Folley it was
RESOLVED
That Councillor Colin Hedgley be elected as Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee for the meeting.

Leonie Hoult (Licensing Officer) introduced report ES/2033 regarding the classification of 16 short films due to be shown at the Marina Theatre, Lowestoft Railway Station Parcel Office and Sam's Coffee House, Lowestoft between 1 to 4 October 2024 as part of the Sunrise Film Festival.
The films had not been shown to the public before within the East Suffolk district and it was therefore necessary for East Suffolk Council to give them a suitable classification. The Sub-Committee was asked to determine the appropriate admission criteria for the films in accordance with British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) guidelines. Members confirmed that they had viewed the short films prior to the meeting.
