Members are invited to a Meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee
to be held in the Claud Castleton Room, Riverside, Lowestoft,
on Thursday, 29 February 2024 at 11.30am.
To elect a Chair for the meeting.
The Democratic Services Officer (Regulatory) opened the meeting and sought nominations for a Chair.
On the proposition of Councillor Patience, seconded by Councillor Plummer,
it was RESOLVED that
Councillor Keith Robinson be elected as Chair of the Licensing Sub-Committee for the meeting.
To receive apologies for absence, if any.
Members and Officers are invited to make any declarations of interests, and the nature of that interest, that they may have in relation to items on the Agenda and are also reminded to make any declarations at any stage during the Meeting if it becomes apparent that this may be required when a particular item or issue is considered.
Councillor Plummer declared a non registerable interest in item 6 of the Agenda as Beccles Ward Member.
Councillor Robinson declared a non registerable interest in item 6 of the Agenda as the Chair of Suffolk County Council Education Transport Committee.
It is recommended that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
On the proposition of Councillor Patience, seconded by Councillor Plummer it was by a unanimous vote
RESOLVED
that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as designed in Paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.
