That a supplementary budget increase of £65,508 including all on-costs for the appointment of a Senior Data Analyst role within the Digital and Programme Management service area be approved.
Reason for Decision
1. To address a currently under resourced area.
2. To ensure the Council maintains a modern and efficient working environment for East Suffolk Council, utilising all data available to it to improve services and meet the data needs of the organisation.
Alternative Options Considered and Rejected
1. Continue as we are, with limited data analytical capacity, utilising one-off pieces of work with Suffolk Office of Data & Analytics.
2. Commission specific pieces of work with a contractor or external supplier.
