1. That the proposal for the increase to the hackney carriage fare tariff for the south of the district be approved.
2. That authority be delegated to the Licensing Manager and Housing Lead Lawyer, in consultation with the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Community Health, to determine any objection to the proposal arising out of the public consultation.
Reason for Decision
1. To comply with the requirements to determine applications for an increase in a fare tariff in accordance with the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
2. To enable any objections or comments to be resolved, where appropriate to do so, without the delay of having to go back to Cabinet.
Alternative Options Considered and Rejected
To not approve the proposal for the increase to the hackney carriage fare tariff for the South of the district and leave the current tariff in place.
