That the funding of up to £50,000 to support the appointment of 2 Level 3 Planning Technician Apprentices for the 2 year programme, commencing in September 2019, be approved.

Reason for Decision

The need to have a resilient workforce in planning teams to help manage the growth challenges across Suffolk is acknowledged by all Councils.

Alternative Options Considered and Rejected

Not to appoint the Apprentices. This was rejected as not being in the best interests of the Council.
